Surprise

It’s been truly amazing to see how resilient the native plants in my butterfly garden were after Hurricane Ian. It’s also pretty spectacular to see new flowers pop up that I did not plant. I am convinced Hurricane Ian blew some sunflower seeds into my garden as I now have a few growing. This sunflower opened this morning showing its grand beauty. There is just something special about the gorgeous flower.

  1. It’s humbling when we realise that Mother Nature takes freak weather in her stride much better than we humans with all our artificiality does!

Our excitement grew as they started visiting our gardens, which then turned into raising some in our butterfly house. Stop on by and subscribe, as I share many photos of the species that have begun to call our gardens home.

It’s so true! It’s amazing how much the gardens have healed after so much battering. Puts a great deal into perspective!
